Patient Experiences

What Patients in Warsaw Are Saying

Common Questions About Our Warsaw Clinic

Answers to What Patients Ask Most

  • What does the $80 per month membership actually include?

The monthly membership covers your annual wellness visit, annual labs, and standard covered office visits. It is designed to give you predictable, transparent access to primary care without worrying about surprise bills. Procedures such as mole removal or abscess drainage, and medications, are priced separately from the membership fee. This model works especially well for patients who are uninsured, have high-deductible insurance plans, or simply prefer to know what they are paying upfront.
  • Do I need to have insurance to become a patient at Legacy Family Health Care?

No, insurance is not required. Legacy Family Health Care does not bill insurance for office visits. The clinic operates on a membership and self-pay basis, making it a practical option for patients without insurance or those with high-deductible plans who rarely meet their deductible. If you have insurance and want to use it for medications, prescriptions can be sent to an outside pharmacy so you can apply your coverage there.
  • Can I walk in for a visit, or do I need to make an appointment?

All visits at Legacy Family Health Care require an appointment. The clinic does not accept walk-ins. This is an intentional part of how the practice operates, ensuring that every patient gets the provider's full attention during their visit rather than being seen in a rushed or crowded setting. If you need to be seen for a common illness or minor concern, the team works to offer timely appointment options.
  • What chronic conditions does Legacy Family Health Care treat?

The clinic provides focused, ongoing management for diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, asthma, and thyroid conditions. Lindsay Kreps, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, has 20 years of experience and a specialty in diabetes and chronic disease management. Patients with complex or long-standing chronic conditions benefit from the 45-minute intake format, which allows for a thorough review of health history and a care plan built around root causes rather than symptom management alone.
  • Does Legacy Family Health Care offer mental health services?

Yes, Rhonda Hoskins, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, provides mental health medication management at Legacy. This includes initial intakes, medication history reviews, and ongoing medication management for patients with behavioral health needs. This service focuses on medication management rather than counseling or therapy. Initial mental health visits must be completed in person, and telehealth follow-up visits are available every three months for established patients.
  • Are lab tests available at the clinic, or do I need to go elsewhere?

Lab testing is done right at the clinic. Legacy Family Health Care offers in-house blood draws and on-site rapid testing for flu, COVID-19, strep, pregnancy, RSV, hemoccult, and urinalysis. For members, annual labs are included as part of the monthly membership. Having labs available on-site means you do not need a separate appointment at an outside facility for routine testing, which keeps your care in one place.
  • Is telehealth available for new patients or only for follow-ups?

Telehealth is available for established patients only. New patient visits and any physical health concerns require an in-person appointment first. Once you are an established patient, virtual follow-up visits are available for mental health medication management on a roughly every-three-month schedule, as well as for select wellness follow-ups. This policy ensures that your provider has a complete picture of your health before managing your care remotely.
  • Does Legacy Family Health Care serve patients who speak Spanish?

Yes, the clinic provides care in both English and Spanish. Language access is an important part of how Legacy serves the Northern Indiana community, including patients in Warsaw, Goshen, Fort Wayne, and throughout Kosciusko County. Being able to communicate clearly with your provider in your primary language helps build trust and reduces the risk of misunderstandings that can affect the quality of your care.
